Game Designer - Wheel of Fortune!

Scopely is looking for a Game Designer to serve on and elevate the experience on Wheel of Fortune!

As the sole Design owner on Wheel of Fortune and reporting directly to the Game Director, this is a unique opportunity to work on a small & mighty Team and put your stamp on a beloved Franchise played across the globe and live for over a decade!

This role has it all: helping to define the product roadmap, ensuring that each user experience is flawless, and anything in between. You will be expected to:

• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Art, Analytics, LiveOps and QA to bring compelling features from concept to release.

• Write and update design specs that contain the right level of detail while staying concise and easy to understand for the whole team

• Help plan our Production roadmap and Liveops calendar

• Drive feature optimizations to maintain gameplay quality, improve balance, and boost player engagement (levels & puzzles, battle pass, weekly and daily challenges, etc.)

• Keep a Design Owner mentality, ensuring designs meet the player’s needs, the franchise strategy and the business goals

• Follow the most recent market trends and best practices to create the best possible designs for our roadmap features, and to bring new ideas to the table

• 2-5 years of professional game design experience

• Demonstrated proficiency with level design, systems design, game tuning, content design, user experience design and overall design documentation

• Deep understanding of free-to-play monetization mechanics including game balancing and virtual economy management

• Excellent communication skills - remotely and in person - with the ability to gather feedback, align stakeholders, and iterate to success collaboratively.

• Comfortable working independently while thriving in a highly dynamic and international environment.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to improve designs.

Bonus Points

• Experience working as a Game Designer in free-to-play mobile gaming with a focus on casual/social and/or word/trivia genre

• Deep understanding of the Wheel of Fortune TV show, its gameplay and rules
