The Hypersonics Advanced Programs team is looking for a Systems Engineer on the Razor team for a Research and Development project. In this role, you will report to the Systems Engineering Manager. Your responsibilities may include: • Derive requirements and interfaces and support specification development in DOORS • Be accountable for developing, updating, coordinating, and supporting verification of a subsystem requirement specification • Support the full life cycle of assigned subsystems or components all the way through development, test, analysis, verification, and flight test • Support assessments of key performance parameters, technical performance measures, and requirement compliance • Support formal system design reviews • Support interface definition and integration of subsystems and components across the broader system • Participate in interdisciplinary engineering efforts as part of a hypersonic development project, necessitating adaptability and flexibility in response to evolving program requirements and timelines across geographically dispersed locations • Use your excellent communication skills and self-motivating drive to promote a positive teamwork culture Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT. Basic Qualifications • Experience as a Systems Engineer • Experience developing, deriving, and/or verifying requirements • Experience performing requirement traceability gap analysis • Demonstrated history of applying core systems engineering principles and processes Desired Skills • 1+ years experience in Systems Engineering • ABET Accredited Bachelor’s degree in engineering field • Experience as a systems engineer executing a missile or hypersonics development program • Experience achieving a successful flight test • Experience writing requirements specifications and verifying requirements • Adept at DOORS • Experience contributing to major milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) • Experience developing PowerPoint slides and formally briefing customers and executives • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders • Active or Current DoD Secret Security Clearance Pay Information GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States.
