Senior Engineer Test Engineering

We are looking for a motivated Test Engineer Expert (Senior Engineer) to develop and deliver robust test solutions that enable successful product qualification and release into manufacturing. This role focuses on test development, characterization, product qualification, and production readiness, working closely with Design, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure high-quality, cost-effective test solutions for Infineon's semiconductor products.

Key responsibilities in your new role Test Development & Release • Develop, debug, validate, and release production test programs for semiconductor products. • Design and implement test methodologies to ensure adequate test coverage and product quality . • Develop and validate test hardware solutions to support characterization and qualification activities. • Drive test program optimization for test quality, efficiency, and manufacturability . • Collaborate with design and product engineering teams to understand product requirements and translate them into effective test solutions. • Ensure test solutions are production-ready and meet manufacturing release requirements. • Generate qualification reports and provide recommendations for production release. Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement • Analyze test and characterization data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement . • Utilize statistical techniques and engineering methodologies to improve test robustness and product quality. • Develop automation scripts and data analysis tools to improve engineering productivity. • Leverage digital engineering tools and AI-assisted analytics where appropriate to accelerate data analysis and problem-solving. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with Design, Product Engineering, Quality, Reliability, and Manufacturing teams throughout the product development lifecycle. • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and product transfers to manufacturing sites . • Participate in technical reviews and contribute to product release decisions. • Ensure proper documentation of test methodologies, characterization results, and release packages.

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed You Are Best Equipped for This Task If You Have Education • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in: o Electrical & Electronic Engineering o Computer Engineering o Microelectronics o Related Engineering disciplines Experience • 3-5 years of experience in: o Semiconductor Test Development o Product Engineering o Silicon Characterization o Test Methodology Development Technical Competencies • Good understanding of: o Semiconductor devices and integrated circuits o Analog, mixed-signal, digital, or microcontroller testing o Test development and validation methodologies o Product characterization and qualification processes o Statistical data analysis techniques • Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) platforms is preferred. • Knowledge of wafer sort and final test methodologies. • Programming and scripting experience using: o C/C++ o Python o Java o Other relevant engineering scripting languages • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools . Preferred Qualifications • Experience with automotive, industrial, power, sensor, connectivity, or microcontroller products. • Understanding of qualification and reliability requirements in semiconductor device development. • Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) , Statistical Process Control (SPC) , and engineering problem-solving methodologies . • Familiarity with automation, digital engineering tools , and AI-assisted data analysis techniques is an advantage. • Experience working in global, cross-functional engineering
