Radiology Position | High-Volume Breast Imaging Position in Leading Academic Center | Washington, DC

The Capitol Medical Group, an independent non-profit academic clinical practice group, is seeking a full-time Radiologist with fellowship training in Breast Imaging to join the hospital service team at George Washington University Hospital in Washington DC. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within a strong academic environment with teaching opportunities. Quick Facts Full-Time employed position with a high-volume service with a heavy focus on breast imaging Join an existing staff of three physicians; 2 MAs; eight dedicated breast technologists; two breast ultrasound techs; Nurse Navigator and ABUS technologists; and dedicated registration, intake and scheduling staff Current volume averages approximately 80 patients per day in office Join a diverse team in an academic setting equipped with the latest technology Position includes a non-tenured track appointment Responsibilities Multimodality approach to screening for breast cancer including DBT, ABUS, MRI and BSGI Average volume includes approximately 40 screening exams, 35 diagnostic exams, 8-10 ABUS exams and 6 MRI exams per day. Additionally, there are approximately 12-15 DEXA exams performed at the outpatient center Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncology and nurse navigators Plain film weekend call; approximately 8 total per year Participate in tumor board discussions within an academic setting while working with residents and breast imaging fellows Compensation & Benefits Salary: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and training Health, Dental, Vision & Retirement: Comprehensive benefits package PTO, CME & Schedule Flexibility Wellness & Work-Life Balance Support Qualifications Board Certification in Radiology Candidates must be fellowship-trained in Breast Imaging Candidates should be proficient in minimally invasive breast biopsy procedures in all modalities Valid medical license in the District of Columbia by time of appointment Interest in academic medicine and teaching Providers with Capital Medical Group deliver high-quality primary care, health screenings and advanced specialized care to adults of the DMV (the District, Maryland, and Virginia).
