Medical Supply Delivery and Installation Technician, Depot Operations Help patients receive hospital-level care in the comfort of their homes. As a Cardinal Health VelocareTM Technician, you'll deliver and set up critical medical equipment and technology, interact directly with patients and caregivers, and play an essential role in helping health systems provide advanced care at home. This role is ideal for candidates looking to make a difference in patient’s lives, consistently show compassion to patients and coworkers, possess basic technology skills (such as pairing Bluetooth devices), are comfortable driving, and can safely move heavy medical equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
Show empathy and compassion for customers/patients in every situation Deliver medical equipment using company transit van (non-CDL) to patient’s homes and hospital customer locations Load and unload products and equipment to and from company vehicles that remain on-site when not in use. Perform minor technical installation and de-installation in the home (examples: tablet setup, bluetooth pairing) and troubleshoot technology in the home as the customer requires Maintain vehicles in proper working condition and cleanliness Utilize company phones for order management, navigation, and inventory updates Hold self and associates accountable for conducting work in a safe manner Ensure quality service is provided to customers and ensure prompt follow-through on customer correspondence, complaints and/or inquiries Conduct durable medical equipment cleaning procedures at the Depot Will satisfactorily complete training and be responsible for Cardinal Health compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, State and local authorities No healthcare experience necessary – paid training provided Qualifications High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred Must hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving record Company vehicle provided, no CDL required Ability to safely move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds with appropriate lifting techniques and equipment Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or evening hours Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time Strong customer service and communication skills Flexibility to work various shifts or optional overtime as needed Ability to use phones and tablets, and conduct minor technology installation and troubleshooting Subject to customer requirements, vaccinations (including Influenza, MMR and Hepatitis B) or legitimate accommodation will be required. Shifts are scheduled weeks in advance, attempting to provide as much consistency as business needs permit.
