Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Application Engineer. This position is HYBRID Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at either of the following Eaton locations: Highland IL or Syracuse NY. The Application Engineer will support the Engineering Services team by providing product application and technical assistance for the B-Line division. Crucial to the success of the team and the business, technical support is a fast-paced environment requiring an entrepreneurial sense of urgency along with a passion for the industry. The role will work with various aspects of the organization from marketing and sales to engineering and will directly interact with outside customers. In addition to solid engineering fundamentals, good listening skills and the ability to collaborate with various skill levels is required. A strong drive to grow both personally and professionally is ideal. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. What you’ll do: In this role: • Provides product application and technical assistance to customers, customer service, and the sales force on a core group of products. • Creates and conducts sales force, customer service and customer training on products and applications. • Participates on cross functional teams including, for example, marketing communications and custom product solutions. • Develops an understanding of customers’ operations and applications. • Utilizes technical knowledge of production processes, product testing, and industry standards and reviews changes/updates for effects to product applications. • Supports product line managers with creation of cross reference materials, presentation materials, application letters, and other documentation as needed. • Performs construction takeoffs based on customer specified requirements and industry standards. Qualifications: Basic REQUIRED Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Highland IL or Syracuse NY will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Must be able to effectively interface with engineering and customers on a variety of technical issues.
