If located in a Truist hub city location, the work style will be: In Office (5 days/week). This role provides leadership in the structuring and execution of Standby and Commercial Letters of Credit, including comprehensive review and interpretation of credit agreements and complex underlying transaction structures. It oversees the end-to-end closing and issuance process for Direct Pay Letters of Credit, ensuring alignment with risk, regulatory, and client requirements. A key focus of the role is driving international trade finance solutions, serving as a subject matter expert while partnering with correspondent banks and engaging directly with clients to deliver strategic guidance, product education, and customized solutions that support client objectives. Additionally, the role functions as a critical escalation point, acting as a liaison across clients, front-line teams, and operations. It ensures effective resolution of complex issues, mitigates risk, and promotes seamless execution by proactively identifying, escalating, and resolving inconsistencies across stakeholders. Provide direction and leadership, with emphasis on planning, development, and both short-term and long-term strategies or implementation roadmaps. Assess organizational objectives, defines mobilization activities and develops achievable goals to implement processes that improve departmental effectiveness. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1.    Provide leadership and management oversight to achieve processing and performance results of the highest quality, which are in accordance and consistent with corporate objectives, legal and regulatory compliance 2.    Direct and lead teammate development and engagement.  Make recommendations for teammates regarding employment, career and professional development, performance evaluations, salary changes, promotions, transfers and terminations within established policies and guidelines.  3.    Develops and implement standards, processes and procedures consistent with “best practices” and Financial Services Industry Standards 4.    Works with business units and functional groups within their designated line of business to drive cohesion and connectivity across large scale working efforts 5.    Directs activities to ensure appropriate support for merger/conversion process to provide a seamless transition 6.    Promotes a results-oriented-team environment that continuously evaluates existing operations.
