Schedule: 9/80- Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off   Job Description: The Environmental Heatly & Safety Specialist will ensure the safety and health of all employees and visitors to our facilities. The EH&S Specialist will develop and implement safety plans, conduct safety training, investigate accidents and hazards, and recommend corrective actions to eliminate or reduce potential risks. The EH&S Specialist will also monitor the use of safety and personal protective equipment, as well as inspect the facility to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.   Essential Functions: Develop and implement safety plans, procedures, and policies in accordance with OSHA standards Monitor and inspect the facility and its equipment to ensure compliance Investigate accidents and hazardous conditions and recommend corrective measures. Conduct safety training and awareness programs. Monitor and suggest the use of safety equipment and personal protective equipment. Stay informed of changes in safety regulations and legislation to ensure compliance. Ensure that all safety-related documentation and records are properly maintained and updated. Respond to safety and health-related inquiries and complaints.

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. 4-8 years’ experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant software. 4-8 years’ experience and In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, NFPA, IBC, and other applicable EHS regulations. Practical understanding of ISO 14064-1 and GHG emissions management. Technical understanding of environmental and occupational health and safety regulations and practices. Knowledge of safety laws, regulations, and standards Ability to obtain a Security Clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship Preferred Additional Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience with California State and regional EHS regulations. Subject matter expertise in OSHA regulations, NFPA electrical safety, air quality, storm water and DTSC hazardous waste, hazardous communication/chemical safety and emergency response. Involvement in high performance programs: VPP, ISO 45001, 14001 Strong root cause analysis skills Experience using and leveraging EHS&S common systems, such as Gensuite and Sphera Teamwork, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analysis skills   In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington State, DC and Virginia (Greater D.C. area), Denver, or NYC areas is $79K-$147K.   The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia (outside of Greater D.C. area) is $69K-$128K.
