Job Description

The Global Financial Crimes Threat Identification & Liaison Executive is a recognized expert on financial crime National Priority areas (corruption, cybercrime and misuse of virtual currencies, terrorist financing, fraud, transnational organized crime and third-party money laundering, drug trafficking organizations, human trafficking/human smuggling, and proliferation financing) and is responsible for the direction and development of enterprise-wide financial crime risk management practices consistent with applicable laws, rules, regulations and regulatory guidance. Key responsibilities include identifying and assessing emerging financial crime threats and typologies, providing strategic advisory support to Front Line Unit and Control Function leaders and Compliance and Operational Risk Officers, facilitating information sharing across stakeholders, and maintaining external partnerships to strengthen threat intelligence and public-private collaboration. Job expectations include exercising significant independent judgment and decision-making in evaluating complex and evolving risks, directing proactive threat identification efforts, influencing enterprise risk management strategies, and ensuring significant threats and trends are effectively communicated, understood, and addressed across the organization.

Responsibilities

Leads the enterprise identification and assessment of emerging financial crime threats, typologies, and illicit finance risks, providing strategic direction on risk mitigation priorities Directs relationships with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and industry organizations to enhance intelligence sharing, public-private collaboration, and threat awareness Oversees the translation of internal and external intelligence into actionable threat assessments, targeted risk analyses, and strategic recommendations Advises senior executives and governance forums on significant financial crime threats, regulatory developments, and emerging risk trends impacting the enterprise Drives enhancements to financial crime prevention, detection, monitoring, and surveillance capabilities through partnership with business, risk, and investigations teams Oversees financial crime risk governance activities, including reporting, issue management, remediation oversight, and escalation of significant risks and concerns Reviews and challenges risk management frameworks, controls, assessments, and coverage strategies to ensure
