Company: Marsh Corporate Description: Marsh is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Senior Manager – Finance & Accounting COE (Grade E) for Mumbai / Pune location. Senior Manager (E) – Finance & Accounting COE What can you expect: Statutory Accounting and Reporting: • Prepare and Reconcile GAAP Adjustments of individual countries, reviewing the reconciliations prepared by the team • Time bound submissions of annual statutory accounts per the regulatory timelines • Managing the audit and Workiva FS preparation • Preparation of financials dashboards • Audit Fee tracking and support until signing of final statutory report • Prepare Draft Interim and Final Audit plan • Adherence to operation tracker and ensure completeness with accuracy • Reviewing and help maintain the DPM.s (Process notes) • Engaging with local controllers and specialist teams for creation of Statutory reports and Notes to accounts • Adoption of best practices across regions and suggesting improvements to the process Tax: • Prepare Tax provision GAAP and Country Statutory • Reconcile Stat to Tax financials • Prepare return to Provision and Tax Payments • Complete Transactional transfer pricing compliances • Prepare GST returns and other local compliances • Produce Quarterly one-source lodgements Closing the Books: • Month end & year end book closure, Expense Analytics and disclosures • Prepare Legal Entity Analytics • Reporting analysis and dashboard to the management • Monitoring of Controls across assigned countries • Monitor Balance Sheet commentary • Intangible memo coordination • Stakeholder management & Business partnering Stakeholder management – • Constant engagement with LEC & the team on updating and montioring status of above activities • Collaborate with Accounting operations and other internal functional teams for accurate & timely financial reporting as need be. • Actively participate in regular meetings on operational and tactical discussions as required • Ad hoc regulatory reporting, analytics and presentation preparation across all controller activities We will count on you to: • Take end to end responsibility of delivery and review of the work done by Specialist / junior team members. • Take on additional activities within the existing bandwidth. What you need to have: • Qualified CA or equivalent accounting degree • 8+ years of experience in statutory accounting, finalization of accounts and preparation of annual reports • Expertise in accounting principles IND AS / GAAP, and practices • Team Management experience • Flexibility to work in shifts • Excellent analytic skills, dashboard preparation, review including expertise in MS Office and Power BI (will be advantage) What makes you stand out? • Diploma in IFRS or US GAAP certification • System knowledge about Oracle, Essbase, Caseware & Workiva • Prior experience in a similar reporting profile will be an advantage • Excellent analytic skills, dash board preparation & review, expertise in MS Office and Power BI About MARSH : Marsh (NYSE: MRSH) is the world’s leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy, and people.
