Implement new features, enhancements, and integrations across cloud, database, analytics, and reporting platforms Develop and optimize solutions leveraging PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Azure, Power BI, and related technologies Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve application defects Create and maintain automated unit tests, code quality standards, security controls, and CI/CD best practices Participate in architecture reviews, technical design, peer code reviews, and Agile delivery activities Collaborate with product owners, architects, data engineers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver business solutions Improve application performance, scalability, monitoring, logging, and operational support capabilities Research, prototype, and implement AI-driven solutions to improve engineering productivity and business outcomes Mentor team members and promote software engineering best practices Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience 5+ years of professional software development experience Experience developing REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise web applications Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and cloud-native application development Experience troubleshooting complex production issues and performing root cause analysis Solid proficiency in object-oriented programming and modern software development practices Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code quality tools Proven solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AI/ML, generative AI, or developer productivity tools Experience with relational databases and SQL; PostgreSQL and/or Snowflake At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
