Outfeed Operator I
Find your more with Mohawk! What we need: Mohawk is looking for an Outfeed Operator to monitor raw board handling conveyors, saws and complete various quality control checks. This is a rotating night shift position working 7pm – 7am. What you’ll do:
Monitors the continuous production of the product through outfeed conveyors, saws and stackers Performs root cause analysis on problems Communicates with other control room operators to maintain stable and consistent production Assists in planning and executing production line shutdowns to minimize downtime while maximizing efficiency Monitors raw board quality and takes immediate action to eliminate problems negatively impacting it Performs basic maintenance related tasks and assists maintenance personnel in performing technical work Directs Outfeed housekeeping activities during outages Performs other related duties as required
What you have
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
What you're good at
Must be an effective team member. Ability to wear hearing protection, eye protection, and steel toe shoes. Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related supported areas. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Confident in data analysis and interpretation.
What else?
Must be able to work 12-hour day/night shifts Must be able to wear hearing protection, eye protection, and steel toe shoes. Must be able to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time on concrete. Must be able to work in varying temperatures up to 110 degrees and dusty environment. Must be able to lift up to and carry up to 50lbs frequently and up to 80lbs occasionally. Must be able to climb vertical ladders, multiple flights of stairs and work off elevated surfaces with heights of up to 50 ft. Must not have any limitations in regard to working in confined spaces or wearing a respirator for extended periods of time. Must be able to make repetitive motions involving twisting and turning and using the force of 50 lbs. Must be able to kneel and bend over frequently. Must be able to climb on and work around machinery resulting in awkward or uncomfortable positions. Must be able to sit and drive forklift on uneven driving surface. Must be able to wear and work with a full-face respirator, when required.
