As a Senior GNSS Algorithms Engineer in Torrance, CA for John Deere you will: • Develop innovative GNSS and multi-sensor navigation algorithms for embedded applications, with a focus on robust performance in challenging environments. • Design, implement, validate, and document precision positioning and sensor fusion solutions using GNSS, IMU, and complementary sensors. • Collaborate with embedded software teams to integrate, test, and optimize navigation algorithms in production systems. • Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot field issues, resolve root causes, and drive continuous product improvement. • 3 or more years of GNSS R&D experience in industry or research environments. • 3 or more years of experience developing embedded real-time software in C/C++ for GNSS, navigation, or related systems. • Strong expertise in GNSS measurement processing, navigation algorithms, ambiguity resolution, estimation techniques (Least Squares/Kalman Filtering), and precise positioning corrections. • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across disciplines. What Makes You Stand Out
• Experience with multi-sensor fusion, including integration of GNSS, IMU, wheel odometry, cameras, LiDAR, or other navigation sensors. • Familiarity with modern GNSS constellations and signals, including GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, GLONASS, and satellite-based correction services. • Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams. Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Geometrics or equivalent experiences in a related career field (M.Sc. or PhD preferred.)
