Job Description
The Package Manager (Airside development Works) shall report to the Project Director / Project Head and serve as the PMC lead for the assigned Airside Package. The role shall be responsible for the planning, design coordination, construction supervision, interface management, testing, commissioning and handover of all airside infrastructure works, including runway extension and resurfacing, taxiways, aprons, Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL), drainage systems, runway strip, RESA, operational boundary works, airside roads, operational buildings, CNS/ATM facilities, meteorological facilities and associated utility infrastructure. The Package Manager shall act as the single point of accountability for delivery of the assigned package, ensuring completion within approved schedule, budget, quality, safety and operational requirements. The role requires close coordination with the Employer, Contractors, Design Consultants, Airport Operations, ATC, CNS/ATM agencies, Regulatory Authorities and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of works within a live operational airport environment while maintaining airside safety, security and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Construction Management Lead and manage delivery of the assigned Airside Package from construction through testing, commissioning and operational handover. Provide overall leadership for site construction activities and ensure achievement of package milestones and project objectives. Monitor contractor performance against schedule, quality, safety, cost and contractual requirements. Plan and coordinate phased construction activities to minimize disruption to airport operations. Implement mitigation and recovery measures to address delays, constraints and operational challenges. Airside Operations & Interface Management Act as PMC's focal point for all matters relating to the assigned Airside Package. Manage interfaces between runways, taxiways, aprons, AGL systems, drainage, utility corridors, CNS/ATM facilities, meteorological facilities, operational buildings and associated airport infrastructure. Coordinate closely with Airport Operations, ATC, AIS, CNS, Safety, Security, Airlines and Regulatory Authorities. Ensure safe execution of works within operational areas through effective planning of closures, work permits, NOTAM-related requirements and operational restrictions. Coordinate construction sequencing and operational readiness requirements for all airside facilities. Design & Technical Management Review and coordinate design deliverables, shop drawings, technical submissions, material approvals and method statements. Ensure compliance with ICAO SARPs, DGCA CARs, AAI requirements, BCAS
