F-15 Flight Line Engines Technician - Qatar Company: Boeing Aerospace Operations Boeing Global Service is seeking F-15 Flightline Engines Technicians to assist in our maintenance efforts in Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar . This is a Long-Term Assignment to Qatar. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided. Ability to meet international assignment health requirements required. If accompanied, family must also meet international assignment health requirements.
Position
Responsibilities: Perform flight-line and intermediate-level propulsion maintenance, inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation Perform and/or support engine removals and installations, component replacement, operational checks, and engine ground runs Perform borescope inspections and blade blending/repair, when appropriately trained and qualified Diagnose engine discrepancies and determine appropriate corrective maintenance actions using applicable technical data Interpret and comply with technical orders, maintenance manuals, engineering instructions/dispositions, and maintenance documentation Maintain strict compliance with tool control, FOD prevention, safety, and quality requirements Provide on-the-job training, technical guidance, and mentorship to technicians as required Assist with developing technicians’ ability to independently perform propulsion maintenance while ensuring required inspections and verification are completed Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements Oversee on the job training Perform other duties as assigned in support of squadron operations Ability to carry out CUT (Cross Utilization Training) as required Work under general supervision Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Minimum 1 year of experience with fighter aircraft maintenance and/or management Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts Must be able to obtain local driver's license Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience on military fighter platforms (F-15, F-16, F-18, F-22) In-depth Flight Line fighter experience as Engines is highly desired Knowledge of and/or hands-on maintenance experience with the GE F110 engine family (F110-GE-100/-129/-132 preferred) Previous qualification, certification, or hands-on experience performing engine borescope inspections and/or compressor/fan blade blending Previous aircraft engine ground run qualification or experience Previous experience on F-15 and/or F-16 aircraft propulsion systems Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience Ex-Pat Information: Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country. Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable. Employment is contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country. Because the candidate selected will be expected to go on an international assignment, the offer will be contingent upon the candidate’s ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit to the country in which he or she will be assigned. These contingencies also apply to any/all family members who may be relocating with the candidate. Relocation: Relocation benefits will be provided only to the international assignment.
