Cryptography Engineer The Opportunity: As a cryptography engineer, y ou’ll work with Booz Allen colleagues and the U.S. Space Force on cryptographic strategies tha t will sustain and evolve the next generation R esilient Missile Warning and Tracking ( RWMT ), Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (TISR), and Environmental Monitoring (EM) . You will work with cross-functional and cross-organization al Crypto, Cyber, and Command team s on new and novel approaches to cryptographic solutions and architectures that will inform senior leadership on critical security decisions relevant to protection of nation al security. This is an opportunity to use your critical thinking and analytical skillsets to inform government leaders and commanders on solutions to cryptographic challenges and enhance crypto capabilit ies that will provide critical information to our warfighte r during combat engagements . You Have: 7+ years of experience collaborating with cybersecurity teams and network admins 3+ years of experience with processes to procure and manage Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) or developing or evaluating cryptographic requirements for space or terrestrial cryptography Experience working with COMSEC teams Knowledge of cryptographic modernization strategies for legacy, current, and future devices Knowledge of cryptographic architectures Ability to brief senior level government officials TS/SCI clearance Bachelor’s degree DoD 8140 Intermediate Certification such as Security+, GSEC, or SSCP Certification Nice If You Have: Experience with on space-based remote sensing systems Experience managing secure voice devices, network encryptors, link encryptors, secure remote access devices, hard disk encryptors, and Tier 3 management devices Experience managing organizational mission assurance or risk management planning, training, and exercise programs Experience with USAF or USSF Cryptographic Systems Knowledge cryptographic contract requirements Ability to recommend actionable contract language Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity DoD 8140 Advanced Certification such as CISSP, CISM, GCIA, or GDSA Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
