What you’ll do: The Business Development Engineer, LV Partnerships is responsible for driving growth of Eaton's LV Switchgear business through the identification, development, and expansion of strategic partnerships. The role focuses primarily on the Data Center (DC) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segments, while supporting Industry growth initiatives. Leveraging strong technical expertise in LV switchgear and power distribution systems, the Business Development Engineer works closely with partners, consultants, contractors, end users, sales teams, and product organizations to develop partnership opportunities, create growth plans, and promote the adoption of Eaton solutions. The role combines business development and engineering expertise to accelerate market penetration, increase specification opportunities, and support revenue growth through Eaton's partner ecosystem. Develop and execute partnership plans that support LV switchgear growth objectives, with primary focus on Data Center (DC) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segments and secondary support for Industry growth. Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic partners while expanding growth opportunities with existing partners to increase market penetration and adoption of Eaton LV switchgear solutions. Create and support joint go-to-market initiatives with partners, providing technical expertise that helps generate demand and develop new business opportunities. Develop technical business cases, value propositions, and solution concepts that support new and existing partnership opportunities. Identify market opportunities, emerging applications, and partner-driven growth initiatives that contribute to LV switchgear segment growth objectives. Build strong technical and commercial relationships with partners and key stakeholders, supporting the development of sustainable growth plans and opportunity pipelines. Collaborate with Sales, Segment, Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering teams to align partnership activities and maximize business opportunities. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, application engineering, sales engineering, or a related customer-facing role. Skills: Strong knowledge of LV switchgear, power distribution systems, and electrical infrastructure applications. Proven experience identifying and developing business opportunities within the electrical industry. Experience working with consultants, contractors, OEMs, panel builders, EPCs, distributors, or strategic partners. Experience in low-voltage power distribution, switchgear, data center, or commercial infrastructure markets preferred. Understanding of Data Center, Commercial & Industrial, and Industrial market requirements. Ability to translate technical capabilities into customer and partner value propositions. Experience developing business cases, growth plans, and market development initiatives. Strong commercial acumen and opportunity assessment skills. Strong business development and relationship management skills. Ability to effectively engage and influence both technical and commercial stakeholders. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Self-motivated with a strong results and growth orientation. Ability to work effectively within a matrix organization.
