Test Engineer

Role Summary We are looking for a Test Engineer with an interest in the telecom domain to design, execute, and document test cases across functional, regression, and integration testing for OSS/BSS and network platform engagements. This is a hands-on testing role — you will work under the guidance of the Test Lead to validate features against requirements, log and track defects, and contribute to growing test automation coverage.

Key Responsibilities Analyze business and technical requirements to identify test scenarios. Prepare and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios. Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing. Identify, document, track, and retest software defects. Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve defects. Maintain test data and testing environments. Participate in requirement reviews and provide testing inputs. Perform API testing and database validation where required. Develop and maintain automated test scripts where applicable. Execute regression test suites for application releases. Report test execution status, defects, risks, and testing progress. Support UAT and production validation activities. Perform root-cause analysis for recurring defects. Ensure testing activities are completed within project timelines. Follow QA standards, processes, and best practices. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering , or a related discipline.

Required Skills & Experience 3-7 years of experience in manual and/or automated software testing. Exposure to telecom domains such as OSS/BSS (order management, service assurance, billing/mediation) or network-related applications is a plus. Working knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, or similar) and scripting basics (Java/Python). Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI). Experience with test management/defect-tracking tools (JIRA, Zephyr, ALM, or similar). Basic understanding of SQL for data validation during testing. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
