Job Description

The Art Director is responsible for establishing and leading the overall visual vision for assigned projects, ensuring that brand standards and creative intent are translated into compelling guest experiences. This role directs the artistic style, visual elements, and design development of projects, creating a unified creative vision from concept through execution. The Art Director transforms desired moods, messages, concepts, and ideas into impactful imagery while resolving design challenges and maintaining visual consistency across all project elements. Utilizing tools such as AutoCAD, 3D software, and Adobe Creative Suite, the role develops drawings, models, and design documentation that support the integration of creative, technical, and construction requirements. Working collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders, and partners, the Art Director helps deliver innovative experiences that achieve creative, operational, and business objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Develops visual design direction and defines design elements of the assigned project that affect the guest experience. This may be accomplished with many different methods, including, but not limited to; creating sketches, illustrations, models, composite imagery and image research documentation. Supervise others to develop those design ideas. Project types range from placemaking environmental elements, retail and food kiosks, showinterior and exterior, landscape and hardscape. Responsible for the development, documentation, co-ordination and technical execution of the creative intent. Collaborates with internal talent and external vendors to execute the desired vision. Directs art related vendors and any scenic scope that requires art direction. In collaboration with the Design Director, act as design “vision-keeper” for the project, maintaining a cohesive design in all elements associated with the project through all phases of design and development. Creates and presents project materials to internal and external audiences to communicate project concept, content and status. During construction, develops in-field solutions and follow-up documentation. Ensures project completion of art, finishes and materials specifications.
