Summary The Director, Government Relations position is focused on successful execution of GE Aerospace global policy and government relations objectives. You will provide expert guidance and advice to government relations and business leaders across GE Aerospace.

Essential Responsibilities: Serves as a key advisor and action officer in support of executing GE Aerospace's government affairs and legislative strategy. Serves as a key advisor and partner to key GE Aerospace leaders. Collaborates across GE Aerospace to ensure alignment. Works with key Members of Congress and staff on relevant House and Senate committees to achieve positive policy outcomes for GE Aerospace.   Develops and implements business strategies to secure legislative and policy outcomes favorable to the company. Maintains key relationships with Departments of Commerce and other relevant regulatory and government entities where necessary. Interacts and collaborates with industry peers and suppliers to promote policy goals. Represents GE Aerospace at various government and industry association meetings. Performs other duties and projects as assigned.  Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree in public policy, international relations, law, economics, business, or a related field is strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a government relations role in a large multinational company, trade association, or with one or more U.S. government departments and agencies, or comparable policy institutions Desired Characteristics: Policy experience in international trade, export policy, and/or export controls, including practical understanding of how these policies impact aerospace and defense businesses. Demonstrated experience advocating before Congress and/or the Executive Branch on policy matters. Highly effective communications skills with internal and external stakeholders; demonstrated skill in synthesizing complex information from multiple sources, identifying and analyzing the most relevant points for specific audiences, and communicating effectively verbally and in written formats, including PowerPoint and briefing materials. Strategic thinker who can translate policy developments into business implications and advocacy strategies, and who consistently achieves results. Ability to act with urgency, able to prioritize decisions, manage multiple issues concurrently, and mitigate risk where needed in a dynamic policy environment. Self‑motivated, dedicated team player with a keen sense of accountability, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively across a matrixed global organization. The base pay range for this position is $157,200 - $170,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan.  This posting is expected to close on September, 12 2026.
