Job Description
This role is a Technical Presales Solution Architecture position, purpose-built for HPC/AI strategic large deal pursuits. For qualified candidates, this role may be open to locations not listed on the req within the United States. The role exists to provide deep technical expertise, solution design, and architectural validation across large, complex, multi-quarter pursuits involving significant infrastructure, services, and partner ecosystems. The individual serves as the technical solution lead for the pursuit, ensuring the proposed architecture is technically sound, competitively differentiated, and aligned to customer outcomes. Exercises significant independent judgment in solution design, technical strategy, and architectural tradeoff decisions. Acts as a trusted technical partner to sales leadership, engineering, and customer stakeholders. Regularly interfaces with executive and technical decision-makers on the customer side and may mentor others on complex solution architecture. This role focuses on technical solution design, architectural validation, and customer-facing technical leadership to ensure that proposed solutions are compelling, feasible, and aligned with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Presales / Solution Architecture – Primary Focus Owns technical solution architecture for strategic deal pursuits, from early qualification through proposal development and deal close. Serves as the primary technical point of contact for customers throughout the sales cycle, building credibility and trust through deep domain expertise. Designs and validates end-to-end HPC/AI infrastructure solutions, ensuring architectural coherence, scalability, and alignment with customer requirements. Leads technical discovery with customers to understand workload requirements, performance targets, and infrastructure constraints. Develops and delivers technical presentations, architecture reviews, and solution demonstrations to customer technical and executive stakeholders. Prepares and reviews technical proposals, architectures, assumptions, and supporting documentation. Provides informed input on technology trends, competitive positioning, and architectural tradeoffs relevant to large-scale pursuits. Partners with product and engineering teams to validate solution feasibility and incorporate customer feedback into future offerings. Responds to RFPs/RFQs with technically rigorous, well-substantiated solution designs and pricing justifications. Serves as a technical escalation point for architecture questions, competitive objections, and solution risk during the sales cycle. Cross-Functional Technical Coordination – Secondary Focus Partners with sales, engineering, product, and delivery teams to ensure the proposed solution can be built, delivered, and supported at scale. Contributes technical insight during internal strategy discussions and deal reviews. Ensures a clean technical handoff from sales to delivery, documenting solution assumptions, constraints, and commitments.
Education and Experience
8+ years of experience in technical roles spanning
