Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a beautiful and new state-of-the-art facility. As a joint venture with the Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services, we serve up to 96 adult and geriatric patients across four units. More information about Southridge can be found online: https://southridgebh.com/ Position Description: The Director of Business Development oversees the provision of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service activities within the Marketing Department. The Director is responsible for achieving the desired utilization of the organization’s continuum of care through the effective application of marketing principles and methods. The Director participates in the Account Management system, assessing the needs of the customer and making the required number of marketing contacts to each account, in order to develop and maintain a long-term referral relationship which will generate a continuous flow of admissions to meet hospital census objectives.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field required. Experience may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in lieu of a degree.
Experience
Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting required. Three years minimum documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships preferred. License: Must possess a valid Driver’s License Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of the Michigan behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment and, age-specific programming.
