Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Hardware/Field Engineer – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO .       In this job, you will: Coordinate/lead the preventative maintenance, repair, and construction/installation of Program systems including climbing a 100 ft tower Perform technical tasks and demonstrate problem-resolution actions for the Program systems. Assist the Program Integrated Logistics Specialist (ILS) with logistics support such as, but not limited to, shipping, receiving, kitting, Government Furnished Property/Equipment (GFP/GFE) inventory, and import/export Provide input to the operational analysis and quality evaluation of products and their related performance and update metrics. Perform troubleshooting and diagnoses of malfunctions and errors to eliminate problems in minimum time.   Must be able to support after hours and on weekends as needed. This position will involve 25-50% travel to remote sites, including foreign travel.  Other duties as assigned *Please be aware that this position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) and obtain a Security + certification within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance at the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future* This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level 3.

Level 2 : Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience.  Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree. Minimum High School Diploma is required Level 3: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional experience.  Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree. Minimum High School Diploma is required Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security + Certification Must be able to obtain a US Passport Must be able to support after hours and on weekends as needed   Preferred Qualifications:        Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) Construction experience Electronics background RF background Experience with Linux operating system Experience writing plans, reports, and procedures Valid/Current US Passport Curious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector?
