Business Operations Intern, Commercial Partnerships

We are seeking an intern to join Base’s Business Operations team that focuses on commercial partnerships. During your internship you’ll be tasked with important problems for the business and expected to deliver just like any other full-time member of the team.   In this role, you’ll help launch new growth-oriented partnerships, support existing partner operations, and improve financial and operational processes across the business. That means driving volume growth, unit economics, and quality outcomes while ensuring our partner stays motivated to win alongside us. At Base, partnerships aren’t siloed – you’ll collaborate closely with Deployments, Growth, Software, and Hardware to deliver results that matter.   What You’ll Do Our Business Operations team is lean and has a broad scope; there are many specific opportunities awaiting you if you have a thoughtful and effective approach. Support our relationships and overall offering to existing business partners. Build analytical tools to understand our operational and financial performance, uncover opportunities for efficiency or growth, and provide visibility to the Base team on critical information. Automate operational processes to more efficiently support our members and deployments growth. Launch and scale new partnership programs from 0 to 1.

Comfort working with modern tools and tech stack (e.g., Python, SQL, dashboards, CRMs) and rolling up your sleeves when needed. Analytical and data-driven mindset to decision-making and sound business judgment to determine project performance and financial viability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Powerpoint/Slides and Excel. Proficiency in one or more programming languages is a plus. Bias toward action and simplification - constantly pushing toward alignment, clarity, and execution on tight timelines. Comfortable with ambiguity and effective prioritization in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.

The Base business operations team is responsible for some of the company's highest-leverage outcomes: financing our growth, commercial partnerships, acquisitions and integrations, new market and product entries, and the programs that span too many teams to have a natural owner. It is a set of small teams of generalists who work directly with Base's founders, pick up the problem that matters most, build the structure and analysis it needs, and hand back something that runs itself. Please note: Base is a startup, which means priorities shift and evolve quickly. Your role may expand or change based on the needs of the business at any given time, so the responsibilities listed may not be exhaustive.
