The Work As a PCB Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing complex circuit board designs according to customer specifications. Your responsibilities will include:Collaborating with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Conducting component selection based on performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.Performing high-speed signal integrity analysis to ensure precise timing and mitigate EMI impacts.Developing power profiles and selecting onboard power regulation and distribution systems to meet the circuit's power requirements.Specifying PCB stack-up criteria to optimize signal integrity and thermal management.Overseeing layout and routing activities to ensure adherence to design guidelines and standards.Creating and executing validation and integration plans to verify the performance and functionality of the circuit board designs. Basic Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field and/or equivalent experience. Experience in digital circuit board design Familiarity with design tools such as Altium Designer, Mentor Expedition, or Zuken CR-8000Familiarity with simulation tools such as LTspice or Siemens Hyperlynx Knowledge of component selection, power distribution, Schematic Capture and PCB stack-up design. Ability to validate hardware and integrate with other PCBs and assemblies. Desired Skills Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Experience with troubleshooting electronics at the component / circuit board level, including batteries, DC/DC converters, Inverters, and embedded FPGAs and micro-processors. Knowledge of VHDL and low-level firmware board support packaging development. Experience with either Intel(Quartus) and/or AMD(Vivado) building tools. Ability to troubleshoot a variety of electrically related problems, document testing processes and results in the appropriate problem reporting system Experience with Change Management and Release Processes Pay Information $nu - $nu At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
