As a Global Category Manager – Indirect Sourcing, you’ll act as a trusted business partner to the assigned global category groups, collaborating on the development and execution of sourcing events and negotiation strategies for relevant areas of spend. You will partner with these functions to apply best in class sourcing processes and demonstrate your knowledge of our off-price business model through the guidance you offer during the end-to-end sourcing process. You are a trusted partner who provides value to your business partners through your sourcing expertise and industry knowledge. You will serve in a pivotal role, leading strategic sourcing engagements across a wide range of business units on a global basis to enable new business initiatives. You’ll be recognized as someone who drives strategy, cost improvement and develops strong relationships across TJX. Supports Senior Manager in the execution of their regional and global sourcing events that are high complexity across Indirect categories such as Financial, Professional and Business Services categories which may include Consulting, Legal, Financial services, Corporate Services, Banking, Payment processing, outsourced business services, and other indirect service based projects, through sourcing administration and event support. Leads project execution for sourcing events using defined strategic sourcing methodologies, tools, and templates to ensure a fair, open and competitive sourcing process. Manage the full strategic sourcing cycle, including understanding business demand, supplier identification and selection, risk mitigation strategy, price negotiation, contract "red-lining", planning and management of pipeline of strategic sourcing projects. Lead strategy development for assigned sourcing events. Provide support to Senior Manager in the development of their regional and global sourcing strategies. Think and act globally to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in the execution of Strategic Sourcing initiatives and the implementation of category strategies. Develop effective and trusting relationships with Business Partners to ensure successful project delivery. This includes relationships with senior leadership. Serve as the liaison between global business partners and suppliers to ensure the most effective approach for meeting validated business requirements through the sourcing process. Participate in the development and execution of contracts and ensuring compliance to TJX Approval Authority Schedule and Audit requirements. Develops negotiation strategy and conducts negotiations. Participate in Global Category Management planning for assigned categories establishing solid partnerships with our Global peers and colleagues. Identify and execute against opportunities for specification alignment, process improvement, and demand management. Support supplier relationship management programs.
