Securities Ops Spec II

Principal is seeking a Securities Operations Specialist II to join our Principal Custody Solutions (PCS) team. As a Securities Operations Specialist II, you will support complex securities and cash-related activities while serving as a key point of contact for clients, investment managers, and internal business partners. This role combines transaction processing, problem-solving, and customer service to help ensure the accurate and timely execution of investment operations. Here are some examples of the kinds of things you'll do: Manage complex securities activities, including trading, income processing, entitlements, and cash-related transactions. Differentiate, process, reconcile, and investigate exceptions related to securities and cash transactions. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, investment managers, and internal partners by researching inquiries, resolving operational issues, coordinating solutions across teams, and providing exceptional customer service. Review time-critical and complex documents while ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate situations involving multiple departments to resolve operational challenges and support business objectives. Investigate and resolve transaction breaks, trade exceptions, and other operational issues while effectively handling escalations through resolution. Provide department-level reporting using multiple data sources. Provide training, guidance, and operational support to team members while assisting with procedure updates and process improvement initiatives. Back up other operational desks and work under minimal supervision. High School Diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience in customer service, operations, financial services, or business processing Demonstrated experience using SEI Trust 3000 and Salesforce within a securities, custody, trust, or investment operations environment to process transactions, research inquiries, and resolve operational issues Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Effective organizational, multi-tasking skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgement in a fast-paced environment Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
