 OVERVIEW As a Senior Analyst in Supply Chain Analytics, you will turn complex supply chain questions into practical, data-driven solutions that improve business decisions and operational efficiency. To leverage advanced analytics and supply chain expertise to drive significant improvements in plant productivity and optimize manufacturing costs across General Mills' global food manufacturing network (50+ plants). This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing and implementing data-driven solutions, and providing actionable insights to improve manufacturing processes and reliability. This role requires you to operate in 1.30 pm to 10.30 pm shift. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Translate business objectives into analytical problems, project scopes, success criteria, and feasible data requirements for manufacturing and supply chain initiatives. Extract, cleanse, and analyze manufacturing data using SQL, Python, and BigQuery to identify trends, drivers, and root causes. Develop and apply statistical, optimization, predictive, prescriptive, and machine learning models to improve performance, reliability, maintenance, and waste. Build and maintain dashboards, recommendation reports, and self-service analytics solutions using Python, Dash, GitHub, and DevOps practices, with strong data quality, automation, version control, and production deployment. Independently deliver moderately complex projects, partner with plant and business stakeholders, communicate results, demonstrate business impact, follow Agile practices, and mentor analysts while ensuring analytical rigor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science).
Experience
2-5 years of experience in a data analytics or engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing or supply chain environment Technical Skills : Proficiency in SQL and Python programming. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and independent-working skills, with the ability to connect insights to business decisions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field. 4+ years of analytics or engineering experience in manufacturing or supply chain. Proficiency in Python, Dash or similar visualization tools, SQL, and cloud platforms such as BigQuery. Knowledge of statistical modeling, optimization, machine learning, and reliability methods including FMEA and RCM. Experience with MES, ERP, MMS, and Agile-Scrum environments.
