About this role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Eqlipse Trading team. In this role, you’ll work on production trading systems used by major financial institutions across North America, helping customers succeed while building and enhancing the technology that powers their trading operations. You’ll partner closely with customers, developers, and product teams to troubleshoot complex issues, deliver software improvements, and gain deep expertise in electronic trading, order management, and financial markets. What You'll Do
Support Eqlipse Trading customers across the AMER region by investigating issues, providing technical guidance, and delivering high-quality solutions. Develop, test, and maintain Java-based trading applications while leveraging AI-powered development tools and agentic workflows to improve productivity and code quality. Analyze production environments, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with global teams to resolve complex technical challenges. Work with trading protocols, market data, and order management workflows while building expertise in electronic trading systems. Partner with customers and internal stakeholders across multiple regions to support service releases, integrations, onboarding activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in computer science , Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3+ years of software development experience with strong Java programming skills and working knowledge of Python and SQL. Experience troubleshooting technical issues and solving problems in complex application environments. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Interest in financial technology, electronic trading systems, and working directly with customers in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Opencode , or Kiro. Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, FIX protocol, order management systems, or capital markets technology. Experience supporting customers, working with distributed systems, messaging middleware, or high-performance applications. Why Join Us?
