Job Description
We are the Workplace Engineering team. We create the enterprise environments within the ecosystem of ServiceNow. As a Workplace Engineering team, we build, configure, and manage applications and workflows that optimize physical and digital work environments This position requires passing a ServiceNow background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards). This includes a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check and taking a drug test. Any employment is contingent upon passing the screening. Due to Federal requirements, only US citizens, US naturalized citizens or US Permanent Residents, holding a green card, will be considered. What you get in this role: Build and innovate new features for WSD (Workplace Service Delivery), delivering solutions that enhance physical and digital work environments. Drive customer success by supporting customers during case-related activities, implementations, and go-live events. Maintain and support deployed services by addressing vulnerabilities, ensuring security, stability, and ongoing reliability. Build, configure, and manage applications and workflows that optimize physical and digital work environments. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality software solutions that improve enterprise workflows and user experiences. Partner with product owners and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable, customer-focused solutions. Build clean, reusable, and maintainable code by following software engineering best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and test automation. Design software that is extensible and configurable, enabling customers to customize workflows and meet their unique business needs. Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while enhancing and supporting existing applications. Mentor team members and foster a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and knowledge sharing. Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application performance, scalability, and reliability across enterprise environments.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have: Experience leveraging or critically evaluating how AI can be integrated into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This includes using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's impact on the business or industry. 8+ years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented programming language. Passion for JavaScript/TypeScript, the web platform, reusability, and component-based development. Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance and scalability considerations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and software design skills. Experience with modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar. Strong understanding of relational databases, including development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Experience with scripting languages such as Python. Familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus. For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $166,500 - $291,400 , plus equity
