You will... - Decompose product guidance into use cases and functional requirements. - Be responsible for architectures and requirements sets for assigned system-level areas as part of Hardware Development. - Work closely with stakeholders and domain engineers to transform product guidance into design through every stage of the product development lifecycle. - Author and maintain systems engineering artifacts to accelerate Hardware Development efforts. - Actively work to unblock multidisciplinary teams with new perspectives, requirements, and influence to ensure successful delivery of quality Hardware. - Use data and engineering experience to qualify work products and arrive at a design compatible with the goals of the organization. - Foster a culture of collaboration and learning within and between groups. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field and at least 4 years of experience or equivalent experience and advanced degrees for a total of 8 years related experience. - Strong verbal and written communication skills to drive architecture and attribute trade decisions in multi-domain engineering environments. - Experience in design, implementation, and test of complex systems with hardware and software components in complex, requirements-driven. industries such as aerospace, autonomous systems, or large scale computing infrastructure. - Experience cultivating non-functional and quality attributes of system design such as Safety, Security, and other ‘built-in, not bolt-on’ characteristics. - Expertise with systems engineering analysis methods and creating artifacts such as Activity Diagrams, Functional Decompositions, FMEAs, and test plans. - Good technical risk sensitivity in order to make decisions with limited input and information. - Familiarity with decomposing industry standards into atomic, testable requirements; experience with Hardware Safety standards such as ISO 26262 or related standards is a plus. - Experience with Model-based systems engineering methodologies and tools is a plus (e.g. Jama or Polarion). - Experience with Requirements Management Database Systems and Requirements Management process is a plus. - Passionate about self-driving technologies, solving hard problems, and creating innovative solutions.
