Designation- Senior Design Engineer II Experience- 7-10Years Location-Bangalore Roles & Responsibilities-:
Lead and execute the NPD projects for refrigeration display case doors, ensuring compliance requirements and performance standards. Design Sheetmetal parts and weldment assembly independently. Drive VAVE projects starting from leading ideation sessions, project pipeline generation, project execution and Savings tracking. Manage drawing creation, approval, and release through EPDM systems, ensuring version control and traceability. Ensure drawings meets GD&T and Tolerance requirements. Ensure design robustness through simulation, structural and thermal validation, and functional testing. Apply DFM/DFA principles to enhance manufacturability and cost efficiency. Conduct DFMEA and DVPR to arrive a validation plan and ensure design meets specifications. Validate designs through FEA simulation and technical reviews. Resolve product or manufacturing problems on major product lines individually or as part of a group as job duties require. Hands-on work on shop floor, as job requires. Perform Tolerance stack up Analysis on Door and Frame assemblies. Drive/participate in DFMEA, DFMA and Design reviews.
Skills Required-
Expertise in sheet metal, plastics and weldment design, strong structural and thermal design knowledge, Ability to execute NPD and VAVE project with minimal super vision. Thorough knowledge of Structural design, Plastic part design. and Design processes knowledge - DFMEA, DFM/DFA, VAVE methodologyFEA, GD&T, and Tolerance stack up. Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Ability to read and interpret the Engineering drawings and convert 2D to 3D and viceverse swiftly. Ability to effectively problem-solve using tools and techniques like A3, root cause analysis, 5-why's). Should have Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong team player and independent contributor. Six sigma and CSWP certifications would be an added advantage.
