Job Description
We currently have a new opportunity for an experienced client focused Senior Project Manager to join our Raleigh, NC Water Services team. We are looking for someone that can manage and lead multi-discipline planning and design teams for water and wastewater treatment facilities, collection and distribution systems, stormwater, and water resource projects in central and eastern North Carolina. Our services have spanned the areas of modeling, master planning studies, design, and construction administration of water, wastewater, conveyance, storm water facilities, and infrastructure. As a member of this team, you will contribute to CDM Smith's mission by: Managing multi-discipline projects within the water/wastewater/conveyance/stormwater/water resource engineering and construction sector from early concept development through detailed design and construction Building and managing relationships with key leaders which include major municipal clients across NC. Serving as a leader of project teams and mentoring junior staff, including the coordination and reviewing of project assignments Effectively working with key technical specialists, project team members, and delivery managers Managing the preparation of design drawings and specifications Preparing, monitoring, and managing project budgets and schedules while managing the firm's risk Providing high level planning and programming analysis work including preparation of technical documents/reports Being active in professional societies in which clients or potential clients are members Assisting in new business development by contributing to strategic planning, marketing, and business operations planning Collaborating with sales staff to create proposals in response to client requests for qualifications (RFQs) Interfacing with clients and government officials to clarify technical questions and providing updates to upper management as necessary. Skills & Abilities Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree • 10 years of related experience. • PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list). • Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental or chemical engineering • Professional engineering (PE) license • Project management experience on water/wastewater treatment and infrastructure design projects in North Carolina • Alternative project delivery experience Amount of Travel Required 10% or less EEO Statement We attract
