Opportunity
Overview As Hospital Affairs Director, Germany, you will lead Rhythm’s sales field organization in one of our most important European markets. You will be responsible for building, leading, and developing a team of high-performing sales team, delivering sales performance, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders, and executing strategic initiatives that support patient identification, market growth, and access to treatment. As a member of the German leadership team, you will contribute to the overall business strategy and help shape the next phase of Rhythm’s growth in Germany. Responsibilities and Duties Lead the development and execution of Rhythm’s sales strategy in Germany to achieve business objectives and drive market growth. Build, lead, coach, and retain a high-performing sales team, attracting top talent and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence. Develop strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, treatment centers, and other stakeholders to support patient identification, access, and treatment adoption. Drive sales performance through effective territory planning, forecasting, account management, and execution of customer engagement strategies. Conduct regular field visits to support customer engagement, coach team members, and gather market insights. Partner closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure aligned execution of business priorities. Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, and customer insights to identify opportunities and inform strategic decision-making. Manage commercial budgets and resources with financial discipline and operational excellence. Support pricing, reimbursement, and market access initiatives to expand patient access to Rhythm’s therapies. Ensure all commercial activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Serve as a key member of the German leadership team, contributing to the continued growth and success of Rhythm in Germany. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Significant pharmaceutical or biotechnology commercial experience, including sales leadership responsibility. Proven track record of building, developing, and leading high-performing teams, with experience attracting and retaining top talent. Launch experience, ideally within specialty or rare disease markets. Strong understanding of the German healthcare environment and commercial landscape. Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across functions and work collaboratively within a matrix organization. Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-focused approach and strong business acumen. Influential leader who builds trusted relationships and drives results through collaboration rather than authority alone.
