About this role
We help the world run better At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
What you'll do
J oining our team is a unique opportunity to shape the future of how retail stores operate with AI — owning product initiatives end to end and building the store of the future from the ground up.
Concretely: you will drive the development of an AI-powered store associate app — an agentic-first , mobile solution that helps frontline retail workers handle replenishment, order fulfillment, and customer support. You will join one of our newly formed AI-native squads , where AI agents run 24/7 alongside the team, enabling iteration cycles that are hard to achieve in traditional enterprise development. Working closely with engineering, design, and retail co-innovation customers across multiple countries, you will take ideas from concept to production — shaping the product vision while actively contributing to building, validating, and refining what ships.
This is hands-on product building , not managing from a distance. You’ll work directly with our co-innovation customers — running discovery workshops on-site, turning their real operational challenges into a product that keeps getting better, and laying out the groundwork for the customers who follow.
What you bring
3–5 years of experience in product or UX roles within retail tech or enterprise software, with the ability to operate at high autonomy. Whether your background is in Product or UX/Design — what matters is a hands-on builder mindset and the drive to ship real solutions with customers.
You thrive in small, autonomous squads, have a hands-on mindset, and balance user value with technical and business realities.
Proven ability to engage directly with customers - including facilitating discovery workshops - and co- innovating solutions rooted in their day-to-day operations, translating complex technical concepts into clear business value with measurable outcomes.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record of driving initiatives from concept to execution - combining strong problem-solving skills with a knack for innovative thinking.
Strong interest in frontline-worker UX in high-paced environments, and the ability to translate observations into requirements and user stories.
Solid technical fluency : cloud-native architectures, AI fundamentals, and agentic AI system concepts.
Experience using product analytics and experimentation to inform decisions and validate hypotheses.
Modern, AI-native tooling: You are comfortable with vibe-coding / rapid-prototyping platforms (e.g., Lovable, v0, Figma Make) to turn ideas into tangible prototypes fast — and fluent with data & analytics platforms (e.g., Databricks, Qlik, or similar) to ground decisions in real signals.
Strong English communication skills required.
Nice to have
German language proficiency
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA or SAP Business AI
Domain expertise in retail and/or experience in mobile app development
