In this role, you will work directly with senior energy and sustainability professionals to provide building energy consumption analysis and benchmarking, support sustainability reporting, analyze sustainability metrics, and identify opportunities to improve performance. You will track, monitor, analyze, and report ESG metrics across our client’s real estate portfolio, build management tools and processes to streamline reporting, and develop innovative ways to visually communicate sustainability data to key stakeholders. Job Description
Primary Responsibilities · Coordinating multiple projects, tracking timelines and priorities, and keeping projects on budget and schedule. · Establishing data reporting governance across the portfolio to ensure timely, accurate reporting. · Administering sustainability data collection and reporting systems and processes across the client portfolio (energy, emissions, water, waste), collecting, aggregating, and analyzing building and client documentation, and identifying trends and improvement opportunities while ensuring accuracy and completeness across all sustainability metrics. · Synthesizing research into key themes and drafting recommendations for client deliverables. · Evaluating sustainability data and trends to inform the account team and sustainability strategy. · Providing benchmarking and market intelligence, including Energy Star benchmarking via Portfolio Manager. · Coordinating ESG compliance reporting support across local, regional, and national regulations, including external audits and close-out of audit actions. · Supporting preparation of utility consumption data for sustainability reporting, disclosures, green building certification, and BPS submissions where applicable. · Support utility data management, validation, and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of reporting. · Continually improving and streamlining sustainability reporting systems, processes, and training. · Developing, supporting, troubleshooting, and enhancing analytical tools that improve decision-making for business and project teams. · Prepare and deliver monthly utility reporting packages that include usage and cost trends, weather-normalized and non-weather-normalized analyses, variances, and historical performance benchmarking. · Track global energy and sustainability regulations, local ordinances, and industry best practices, and provide clients with actionable guidance on compliance obligations, reporting requirements, deadlines and risk mitigation strategies.
Requirements
Possess · Bachelor’s or master’s degree in subjects such as environmental science, energy management, sustainability, or equivalent. · 2+ years of experience in an analytical role related to commercial real estate, ESG, corporate sustainability, consulting, or similar. · Experience in administration and maintenance of sustainability data management and reporting systems. · Intermediate to advanced skills in software applications such as MS Excel and PowerBI for analyzing, reviewing, and reporting sustainability data.
