Gaylord is located in south central Minnesota about an hour west of the Twin Cities and 35 minutes from Mankato, Hutchinson, and New Ulm. As the County Seat, Gaylord is the "Hub of Sibley County." Our location produces liquid egg, hardcook egg, and precooked egg such as scrambled, patties and omelets.

POSITION SUMMARY :   This position plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned engineering work; monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and standards; ensures effective communication between all disciplines and all other project participants.  They will work extensively with and require assistance from multiple departments throughout the facility to properly define and execute successful projects.  Projects will vary greatly in requirements/execution and scope from small installations to major capital.  The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects at varying sites, while maintaining budgets, timing and quality are a must.  Candidate must possess a drive to consistently be improving/learning and applying new methods to overcome obstacles/barriers to complete their tasks.   This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :     Identify, define, program manage and implement equipment/process/building/utility installations within the integrated supply chain. Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects, including contractors/equipment manufacturers/internal support. Ability to recognize when technical problems are developing and initiate appropriate corrective action. Requires extensive regular contact with assigned project clients. Work with the site on equipment/layout challenges. Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals. Support multiple departments within the facility by identifying cost savings opportunities. Support the plant with troubleshooting production/building/equipment issues as assigned. Support plant in development of equipment purchase/project plans for future replacement/upgrades or process capacity increases. Participating in meetings and resolving client/engineering and management project issues. Solicit feedback from the team and business to improve project execution. Ensure effective engineering and client communications through thorough understanding of the supply chain and the impact of assigned projects/equipment/building changes. Travel approximately 10%. Accountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone . Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks. Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.  Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality. Perform other duties of a similar nature or level, as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED:   Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/manufacturing/chemical engineering or Related combined Experience/Education. 3+ years of experience with CapEx projects, Equipment/Process Design
