Opportunity

Overview As a member of Rhythm's North America Field Medical leadership team, the Director, Field Medical is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) to ensure excellence in scientific engagement, insight generation, and execution of Rhythm's Medical Affairs strategy. Reporting to the Head of Field Medical and working in partnership with a second Field Director, this role provides strategic and operational leadership across an assigned region while fostering a high-performing, collaborative Field Medical organization. The Director, Field Medical partners closely with MSLs, Medical Affairs leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate medical strategy into effective field execution. The role is accountable for driving field medical effectiveness through talent development, field coaching, stakeholder engagement planning, insight generation, and execution scientific exchange activities. In addition to people leadership responsibilities, the Director, Field Medical serves as a scientific leader within the organization, helping identify emerging opportunities, trends, and stakeholder needs that inform medical strategy and organizational decision-making. The role contributes to the advancement of Medical Affairs objectives by ensuring high-quality scientific engagement, strengthening partnerships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals, and developing a high-performing team that delivers meaningful scientific impact and strategic value to the organization. This position requires strong scientific acumen, demonstrated leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams in a dynamic and evolving healthcare environment. This position is based in GA (Atlanta) and covers the East Region. Responsibilities and Duties Lead, coach, and develop a team of MSLs to ensure excellence in scientific exchange, stakeholder engagement, insight generation, and compliant field execution. Partner with the Head of Field Medical to execute Rhythm's Field Medical strategy and align regional priorities with organizational objectives. Conduct regular field coaching and development activities to enhance scientific capabilities, strategic thinking, communication skills, and overall performance. Provide leadership and guidance on territory planning, stakeholder engagement strategies, and execution of regional medical priorities. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and excellence across the Field Medical organization. Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of MSL team members. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and address emerging scientific, clinical, and healthcare landscape opportunities and challenges that inform medical strategy Ensure high-quality insight generation and synthesis while coaching and developing MSLs to effectively identify, and communicate field insights, translating field observations into meaningful recommendations that inform medical strategy and organizational decision-making.
