DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Development Engineer within our Joint Reconstruction R&D Knee New Product Development Team . You will be working alongside other specialists responsible for providing technical R&D support for new product introductions in the market. Development Engineers play a vital role as a core member of the new product development team. They are responsible for working closely with design engineers, quality engineers, manufacturing associates, and suppliers throughout all phases of the product development lifecycle. The development engineer is critical in influencing the design for manufacture, defining the design attributes, and transferring the product design to manufacturing. This role will collaborate with internal team members and outside manufacturing partners to drive the development & qualification of the new product introductions. Key Responsibilities
This role is suited to an individual with Product Development experience as it includes all elements of the product development lifecycle for medical devices. · Activities would include design inputs and outputs management, materials selection and biocompatibility, risk management, and verification & validation activities. · Other typical responsibilities include supporting product testing with protocol and test method development. · A high level of teamwork across multiple functions and geographies will be required. Proven analytical problem solving and decision-making skills are needed, alongside effective collaboration at all levels within the business. · Support the development of multiple new product codes with differing technology across external supply base. · Collaborate with the design
