Scopely is looking for a Technical Artist to join our Yahtzee! With Buddies team in our Barcelona studio working on a hybrid model, 3 days a week from the hub.

Yahtzee! With Buddies is one of our casual free-to-play mobile games and is a classic board game with a new look. The team is based in Europe and the US, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.
What you will do
Our TechArt & Tools team is currently composed of two people in the Barcelona office. We are looking to have a new Technical Artist join them to design, implement, and drive adoption of an end-to-end content pipeline that supports the live operations, design team, UI team, and 2D/3D artists.
• Knowledgeable in HLSL and built-in render pipeline.
• Great at implementing UI that scales to different mobile devices and supporting artists with UI implementation for when they do it
• Collaborate closely with both art and engineering teams to optimize workflows and tools for creatives.
• Define and promote technical best practices for content creation.
• Own and maintain the technical budget of in-game assets, ensuring they are gameplay-ready and performance-optimized.
What you will need
• 3+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in the entertainment industry (mobile experience preferred).
• Good scripting and coding skills (e.g., Python, C#).
• Well-versed in using Unity
• Solid understanding of computer graphics fundamentals.
• Familiarity with digital content creation tools (e.g., Blender, Photoshop, Figma).
• Experience using version control and asset management tools (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to bridge art and engineering disciplines.
• Great at documenting and presenting technical art best practices
Bonus points
• Experience with real-time VFX.
• Understanding of animation pipelines.
• You're great at profiling on the device
