DESCRIPTION Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Account Manager II, supporting one of our largest and most strategic academic accounts. In this role, you'll partner with world-class scientists across a broad range of disciplines while representing Thermo Fisher Scientific's industry-leading portfolio of laboratory products and services. You will develop and maintain strong customer relationships, execute sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, and deliver innovative scientific solutions that help our customers advance their research. Success in this position requires a collaborative, team-based approach, partnering closely with teammates and cross-functional colleagues to provide an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships across a complex research environment, uncovering growth opportunities, and contributing to Thermo Fisher Scientific's mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required; degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field preferred. Two years of sales experience, laboratory/research experience, or a combination of both is preferred but not required. Candidates with a demonstrated ability to learn scientific products and applications are encouraged to apply. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence customer decisions and develop long-term partnerships. Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based selling environment while effectively managing individual responsibilities and contributing to shared account goals. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and identify opportunities for customer growth. Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 70% within the assigned territory. Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $47,800.00–$71,650.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
