Job Description AECOM  is seeking multiple Archaeology Technician’s for immediate employment within our Cultural Resources team in the Midwest. This is a remote, part-time, on-call position, meaning workdays and times will be determined on an as-needed basis. The Archaeological Technician primarily performs fieldwork under the supervision of a Crew Chief, Field Director and/or Principal Investigator. Immediate f ield projects needs will primarily be in Ohio and Illinois. Candidates will need flexibility to travel overnight for field work sessions.  The duration of these projects will run through September-December and may extend longer, which will be weather dependent. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performs a variety of tasks in support of project staff. May gather and maintain specified records of scientific data for supervisor, including but not limited to environmental sampling, operations and maintenance and inspections at client sites. Other activities may include assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation. Collects and enters data and applies technical principles and theories under supervision. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: High School graduate. 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in archaeological fieldwork.   Valid US Driver's License and pre-employment driving record verification are required. Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field. 3+ years of experience with a wide range of field methodologies, including archaeological survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring. Completion of an archaeological field school is highly desired.
