Summary The Manager, Supervision - Trade Review helps protect Raymond James clients, Financial Advisors, and the firm by leading a team responsible for reviewing trade and account activity, identifying risk, and ensuring the consistent application of supervisory standards. This role combines people leadership with supervisory expertise. You will coach and develop associates, guide decision-making on complex matters, and partner with branch leadership, Compliance, Legal, and other internal stakeholders to resolve issues that often require thoughtful judgment rather than straightforward answers. Success in this role requires balancing regulatory obligations, business objectives, and client impact while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Job Description
What You Will Do Lead, coach, and develop a team of Trade Review associates through performance management, mentoring, training, and career development. Review supervisory matters involving trade and account activity, helping ensure timely, accurate, and risk-based decision making. Partner with Financial Advisors, branch managers, Compliance, Legal, and other business partners to evaluate, investigate, and resolve supervisory concerns. Establish team priorities, monitor workloads, and ensure service, quality, and risk management expectations are met. Provide guidance regarding securities regulations, supervisory responsibilities, and firm policies and procedures. Escalate significant regulatory, supervisory, operational, or reputational risks as appropriate. Support the development and delivery of training programs that enhance supervisory effectiveness and regulatory awareness. Contribute to the design, implementation, and enhancement of supervisory controls, policies, procedures, and best practices. Identify trends, recurring issues, and emerging risks and recommend solutions to strengthen the supervisory environment. Lead or support strategic initiatives and projects that improve efficiency, consistency, and risk mitigation. Act as a subject matter resource for associates and business partners on supervisory matters. Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
