InfraSource seeks a Project Accountant to join the team at our company headquarters in Sumner, WA .
The Project Accountant claims revenue and creates invoices according to accounting principles and contract terms. The revenue analyst tracks revenue over time and produces reports to show trends. The analyst breaks down revenue by individual project and determines profitability. The revenue analyst must have outstanding attention to detail to ensure that revenue is claimed and billed accurately. If the following interests you, we encourage you to apply!
The hourly pay rate for this role is $31.00-$37.00/hour based on experience. What You'll Do Responsibilities :
Set up projects in accounting system in accordance with contractual terms and load initial working budgets, monitor project performance, and post change orders Record and track revenue for various divisions and projects in accordance with GAAP revenue recognition standards Create wide range of invoices/billings (from standard to complex) Ensure reconciliations and supporting schedules are completed timely and in accordance with customer and internal requirements Analyze and present Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Annual financial results to management team and support operations in making informed decisions Generate actionable insights from technical and financial data, and identify ways to improve financial efficiency Evaluate processes for accounting and internal control systems, and ensure all control requirements are met Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and procedures to support the company’s goals/objectives Retrieve support documentation related to audit Create journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation Routine accounting functions Other tasks as assigned
What You'll Bring Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of 3 years related experience. Firm understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Previous work experience within an integrated accounting software system. Must have the ability to balance multiple tasks while meeting required deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using JD Edwards. Experience in a utility, contract utility, or construction company.
