Description
Maintenance Superintendent At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is A Condition , which means the safety of our team members comes first - always. Pilgrim’s is looking for a Maintenance Superintendent to lead and coordinate maintenance activities across the facility. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, supporting production operations, and supervising maintenance team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The maintenance team supports production and facilities by ensuring equipment uptime, safe operations, and efficient maintenance execution.
Responsibilities
Supervise maintenance team members performing repair, installation, and upkeep of plant equipment, buildings, and utility systems. Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance activities. Maintain and inspect equipment to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards while minimizing downtime. Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to support equipment reliability and production efficiency. Troubleshoot maintenance issues and support team members in resolving problems and improving technical capability. Support facility improvement projects, enforce company policies, and coordinate procurement of tools, equipment, and supplies. Other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need:
Education
High School Diploma or GED required ; Experience: Minimum 3 years of directly related maintenance supervision experience; experience in poultry processing or food manufacturing environment preferred; Skills: Working knowledge of refrigeration, PLCs/electrical systems, proficiency in plumbing, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems, strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, basic computer skills and ability to support maintenance systems, and ability to become Haz-Mat team qualified.
