About the team and the role: This role supports core accounting and financial planning activities for assigned legal entities, business units, and profit or cost centers. You will contribute to accurate financial reporting, monthly and annual close processes, budgeting and forecasting, and Italian electronic invoicing compliance. Working closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional, international collaborators, you will also help strengthen internal controls and improve finance processes. What you'll accomplish Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks, making sure that journal entries and account reconciliations are completed with high precision. Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and account reviews for assigned areas with strict attention to detail. Validate accounting assumptions and financial information in collaboration with the Accounting Manager and business collaborators. Maintain a working knowledge of financial systems, processes, and data structures. Participate in the monthly financial close for assigned legal entities, business units, profit or cost centers. Assist in preparing the annual budget and monthly forecast updates, offering financial analysis and insights to aid business planning and decision-making. Review and interpret financial results, identifying key trends, variances, and business drivers for insightful reporting. Prepare comprehensive accounting, financial, and business analyses and reporting packages to support decision-making. Support the monthly invoicing process, including electronic invoicing compliance, validation of invoice data, and XML file generation and submission in accordance with Italian regulations. Monitor compliance with accounting policies, finance procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. Support internal control activities by evaluating the efficiency of controls, identifying improvement opportunities, and helping implement corrective actions. Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
What you will bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced analytical and reporting capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions. Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with a diverse range of international collaborators across the organization. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize various tasks and meet deadlines. Knowledge of Italian accounting principles (OIC) and Italian tax regulations, with particular focus on VAT (IVA) rules and codes. Experience supporting electronic invoicing processes and related compliance requirements in Italy. Proficiency in Italian and English. Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus. Preferred Profile Analytical, diligent, and proactive, with a solid accounting foundation and a strong dedication to accuracy. Comfortable working with financial data, improving processes, and collaborating with both finance and operational teams in a dynamic environment.
