Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work as part of a team that supports satellite communication (SATCOM) activities, in addition to enterprise-wide systems engineering support. This position is a part of an integral 24/7 Operations environment. Availability for non-scheduled call-ins is required. The assignment also requires working a rotating day/night shift schedule, assigned based on the adaptable needs of the team. Location: Guam (Alexandria, VA is base not the work location) What You Will Do Operations and maintenance of complex software and hardware systems. Report and document anomalous performance and interact with other team members to perform corrective actions. Crosstrain in other assigned areas and assist with the training of other personnel on the contract team. Support test and/or operational activities as necessary. Work in elevated heights Lift 50 lbs. safely Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience. Experience in SATCOM, IT Systems and/or RF test equipment. Experience assigning tasks to meet technical objectives. Experience in problem solving in time-critical situations. Experience in delivering presentations. An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
Qualifications
We Prefer Troubleshooting methodologies for diagnosing system problems. Experience training a wide range of learning techniques and styles. Security+ Certified Proficient use of Windows and Linux platforms.
