This role will be responsible to fulfil the duties and responsibilities of a Process Safety Management (PSM) Site Coordinator including governance, oversight, technical leadership, regulatory guidance, strategic planning, coordination, implementation, and overall program management of PSM within a Regulated and Renewable Energy (RRE) generating facility. The PSM Coordinator role will ensure adequate and consistent plans, processes, documentation, and standards are developed, trained, implemented, and exercised to ensure the site(s) maintain compliance with PSM regulation and company policies. The PSM Site Coordinator will accomplish this through collaboration and a close working relationship with site-specific PSM Engineers, RRE PSM Program Managers, station leadership and personnel, and Regional Services. This position will be also responsible for the preparation and maintenance of site PSM program documents, site-level training, and overall site program status updates through monthly metric reporting. This position is also responsible for assisting and participating in the development of fleet-level PSM policies and procedures as well as ensuring an environment of continuous improvement. The PSM Site Coordinator should maintain up-to-date knowledge of Process Safety Management Standard (29 CFR 1910.119) and the Chemical Accident Prevention Plan (40 CFR 68). They are also expected to maintain knowledge of all fleet PSM requirements and ensure site alignment to these requirements and regulations.
Responsibilities
Development, ownership, implementation, and long-term management of the PSM site program. Maintains a thorough knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and operating experiences that apply to the program. Responsible for identifying and gathering hazards and best practices on site and becoming familiar with the specific potential hazards. Works with and interfaces closely with site PSM Engineers to ensure compliance with PSM activities and requirements for all elements of PSM and serves as PSM interface between the station and the RRE PSM Governance group . Promotes PSM understanding and compliance by various groups on site. Single point of contact for the site PSM program and provides site level reporting to the site leadership and the RRE PSM Governance group . Participates in and facilitates the development and scoping of new PSM initiatives at the site and ensures compliance with standards, company governance, and policies. Provides technical assistance for the execution of site PSM initiatives. Participates in internal PSM assessments across the fleet. Develop and facilitate site level assessments and verification of completions of actions and projects. Plan, develop, and facilitate site third party external compliance audits as required . Develops, maintains, and assist in facilitating site level training for all PSM roles. Ensures all roles have an adequate knowledge basis for their job responsibilities. Provide routine reporting of program metrics to demonstrate the overall site PSM health as well the status of initiatives to both site management and PSM Governance group. Attends meetings/conferences to advance understanding of best practices in the RRE fleet. This includes peer meetings with other sites and potentially other companies.
Basic Qualifications
Associates degree in Engineering Technology AND 6 years minimum required
