The position works with communities, economic development organizations, developers, site selectors, and internal business partners to design program strategies, align utility infrastructure planning, leverage site intelligence and funding opportunities, and coordinate stakeholder engagement in support of business attraction, expansion, customer growth, and sustainable economic development. Key responsibilities include: Develop and implement economic development capacity-building programs and strategies that enhance development readiness, infrastructure preparedness, and long-term growth opportunities across Ameren Missouri's service territory. Partner with local governments, economic development organizations, developers, consultants, and other stakeholders to identify and advance initiatives that strengthen community and development capacity. Lead programs that improve the inventory and competitiveness of development-ready sites and other economic development opportunities that support business attraction, retention, and expansion. Coordinate site readiness, due diligence, infrastructure planning, and development assessments to identify opportunities that enhance market competitiveness and accelerate future development. Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Transmission, Operations, Key Accounts, and other business partners to integrate utility infrastructure considerations into economic development planning and growth initiatives. Identify and evaluate funding opportunities, infrastructure investments, grants, and development programs that support economic growth and capacity-building objectives. Develop and maintain economic development intelligence, geographic data resources, readiness assessments, and related information to support strategic decision-making and project evaluation. Support business attraction and project development efforts through coordination of economic development inquiries, responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), analyses, and stakeholder engagement activities. Monitor program performance, development readiness progress, economic development trends, and investment outcomes to support continuous improvement and long-term strategic planning.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. (e.g. Business, Economic Development, Urban and Regional Planning, Engineering, Geography/Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Public Administration, Real Estate Development, Construction Management) Minimum Five (5) or more years of relevant experience required.
