About this role
What You Will Do
You will support our HVAC Service Team in delivering maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for mechanical HVAC systems across customer sites in Gauteng. You will assist senior technicians during service visits, help diagnose system issues, and contribute to the reliable performance of Johnson Controls’ HVAC equipment. How You Will Do It Work alongside senior HVAC technicians during inspections, service calls, and preventive maintenance Support troubleshooting of chillers, package units, split systems, pumps, and mechanical components Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment and related systems Document service activities, findings, and parts usage according to Johnson Controls standards Follow all safety procedures, compliance requirements, and quality guidelines Communicate clearly and professionally with customers during site visits Build your technical capability through structured training, mentoring, and hands‑on field experience What We Look For Matric certificate Strong interest in mechanical HVAC systems and field service work Ability to learn quickly, follow technical instructions, and work safely Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Gauteng Good communication skills, teamwork, and a proactive work ethic Any prior exposure to HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical systems is an advantage but not required
